YOUTH LEADERS
Antonio
Antonio Harris is the youngest of four sons by Leotis and Gloria Harris. Antonio is a graduate of Parkview Arts and Science Magnet School class of 1997. Antonio has been married for ten years to Kanika Harris. Born in 1979, he is the proud father of five: Kevin Wright Jr., Antonio Jr., Kristopher Wright, Anthony Harris, and Ashlynn Harris. Antonio worked as an IT specialist for ten years before he returned to school to study Culinary Arts. During the years of soul-searching for that missing puzzle piece, he accepted his calling into the ministry April 2011. He was licensed at First Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church November 2011 and Miles Memorial C.M.E in 2013. Antonio has put his best foot forward into preaching the word in a way that a child could comprehend. His motto has always centered on breaking the scripture down in layman terms rather than highlighting the use of big words. Although the road has not been easy, the fight must go on. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way, which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Kanika
Kanika K. Harris was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. She attended and graduated from the historical Little Rock Central High School in 1999. Kanika is married to Antonio Harris, her wonderful husband of nearly ten years and mother of three, two boys and one girl. Kanika worked for Arkansas Department Human Services for some years before deciding to start a home janitorial business. In 2011, Kanika finally accomplished the lifelong dream of becoming an Author. Since then she has released thirteen titles, all through self-publication which was the inspiration for Passion Publishing. Kanika joined First Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church April 2011, where her talent for dance was brought to a positive light. Since then she has juggled praise dance coordinator and Director of Music at Miles Memorial C.M.E for the past three years. Working with the youth through dance, music, and drama is a true gift that she accepts fully. Veering towards the future, Kanika is looking forward to working hands on with the youth of COM. This is only the beginning; she looks forward to continuing the dream with future concepts. She aims to connect with the parents and youth through plays, dances, and countless other activities. Matthew 7:1-2 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
